I have absolutly fallen in love with Bible journaling and the community God is creating and the women that He is reaching through it is incredible. I get so excited seeing women studying and loving God’s word, women seeking to know Him deeper. God has given me such a desire to see women in the word, to study, to grow in Christ and above all to draw incredibly close to Him.
Are you like me? Sometimes I find myself comparing my work to the work of others, I find myself thinking maybe I am not good enough, or my Bible will never look like that, or even I can’t do what she does. When we try to measure ourselves against someone else all our joy will vanish. Galatians 6:4 says we should search our own actions, not comparing them to someone else’s. It is hard for women to put that into action but we have to learn to stop comparing ourselves, our work, and our lives to the life of others and start putting it under the light of God’s word.
When we let God use what we are studying to glorify Him and to change our lives through then there is no comparison needed. God is going to work in each of us, to shape and mold us into what He wants us to be.
Whether you paint a page or just simply write notes we don’t have to compare ourselves to each other because God is teaching each one of us something beautifully different- something that is reflecting the light of Christ to a lost world. Comparison will steal every bit of your joy and leave you feeling worse than when you showed up. Don’t get wrapped up in comparing yourself to others, but focus on what God is doing in you.
