It takes your breath away.
You can’t think about anything else.
It breaks us.
Leaves us in tears.
Let’s face it…fear creeps into our most vulnerable places and leaves us rocking in a corner. Our hearts feel like they are going to beat out of our chest when we think about all of the what ifs, all of the things that could go wrong, and the unknowns that could come our way.
Fear holds us back from being all that God wants us to be.
Fear leaves us crippled and too exhausted to move forward, which is right were the devil wants us to be.
Our fear does us no good…it just robs us of our everyday joy.
Fear has a hold on us when we are not willing to hand it over to Go; it has a hold on us because we keep a hold of it. Sometimes we think our fears are too big for God; we think they are to great … but here is the truth my friend … there is no fear in your life that is too big for God to handle. We have to realize that every day we have to ask God to make our faith bigger than our fears. (1 Peter 5:6-7)
We have to see that our greatest defense is God. (Psalm 27:1)
We have to be reminded that God will strengthen us and help us. (Isaiah 41:10)
We must remember that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. (Romans 8:38-39)
Fear has had too much control for too long. It’s time for us to hand it over to God and remember that fear has no place here, that fear no longer has the control or upper hand. We are going to seek trusting God for the unknowns and what ifs, rather than fearing them. We are going to seek God’s understanding and not our limited knowledge.
Fear can only hold us if we let it.
