The idea of embracing God’s pace is so foreign…
We are into rushing, racing, pushing to the brink of exhaustion, caffeine addicted just to keep up.
God abides, rests, remains, sustains and isn’t measured by time.
How is it as His children we miss His pace and follow our own…seriously, His pace sounds way better than what I have been trying to do lately. Abiding in His Word, connecting in prayer and living whole heartedly in our day to day.
God wants to abide with us on more than just the surface. Abide means remaining…that means staying put, staying fixed staying melted into the Father and His magnificent abundance. We remain in a constant state of rush trying to do all that we think God wants us to when He really just wants us to spend some time with Him.
We are wrapped up in all of our to-dos, caring for our families, raising babies, cleaning floors, serving on church boards and extra- curricular run around. All because we think that’s what we are supposed to do…and they are all good things. I do them all too. The problem comes when we are too quick to make that list more important that abiding in Christ, more important than abiding in His Word daily.
A large and very important part of embracing God’s pace for our lives is abiding deeply with Him…that is where He shows us what His pace truly is.
