Bible Reading: Luke 1:30-38
Last October I underwent a biopsy for a lump I found.
As I sat in the waiting room I began to think about all of the what ifs. Those weeks were the most challenging for me spiritually…it was a wave of fear that I had never experienced before. Truth be told I had to learn how to trust God in an even bigger way.
Often our trust is basic…we trust Him for provision, for our families, for our needs… But, what about our lives?
Mary needed a supernatural kind of trust to do what God asked. She was asked to do something that would leave her mocked and ridiculed…it even made the man she was to marry question her. It was not a position most would choose.
I love Mary’s heart because she never told God “no,” she only asked “how.” She never requested that another be chosen. She was willing and trusted God no matter what.
God is so good and faithful. I am so very grateful I can say my biopsy showed no cancer. God truly taught me what it means to trust Him. To trust Him when there is no one else to hang on to, when there is no certainty or answers. He teaches us to trust with every ounce of who we are.
