I looked out to the crowd and it didn’t look like what I had expected. I expected more, I believed for bigger and better. I prayed and asked God to do something incredible, I asked Him to move mountains in the lives of the women in the room. But there were only a few, when I had prayed for so much more.
I waited an extra few minutes in case anyone was late, I kept looking at the small group and thinking…Lord, is this all? This message you have given is so good, Lord I want to share you with these women.
I felt a nudge from the Spirit and God reminding me that numbers don’t matter but that He is responsible for the outcome. Each woman that was in those seats needed the words that the Spirit of God was going to pour out through me.
When I took my place to speak I looked at each woman before beginning, thanked God for them, prayed and proceeded with my lesson. I was able to talk personally with each one, hear their hearts…they blessed me.
Embracing God’s pace will not always look how we think it should but it will always be what He has purposed it to be. We have our own expectations and God has His perfect plan. Most of the time they are very different but the outcome will always be for His honor and glory. At the end of the day my job is to be obedient…His job is the results.
