There is something so precious about a child at Christmas…so much excitement and joy. Seeing Christmas through the eyes of a child makes it come alive. Advent isn’t just for adults, it is so important to teach our children the true meaning of Christmas.
Advent is the perfect time to get together as a family and jump into God’s Word. Make it special and unique for your family. The He is Here Bible study is perfect for a family because it includes the scripture cards to hang throughout your home, a Bible reading plan and activities to do together as a family to keep you focused on the true meaning of Christmas.
Christmas can get lost in the busy…we have to be intentional with our time together. Each morning at breakfast my three young kids and I read our verses for the day, hang our card and talk about what the verses mean. Often we finish our breakfast talking about our activity for the day. It leaves us in the right frame of mind and excited about our day.
Maybe you have teens and tweens in your home, they may be past the cutesy Fisher-Price Nativity age but no matter how old they are, they will love doing these activities as a family. With older kids let them read the scripture aloud at the table, ask more challenging questions and even work through an Advent devotional together like He is Here.
