Grace for Mother’s Day
My Daughter, I see you, I treasure you.
Your worth is precious
I formed you and created you with a purpose.
I love you more than words.
Tired Mom, I see you there…burned out, weary, joy-filled and prayerful.
Prayerful that your children will know me and my mercy.
Burned out from the endless demands that come with motherhood.
Weary over the child who has strayed so far from home.
But, joy-filled because they are your gifts from me.
Grieving Mom, I see you sitting by the graveside,
uncertain and broken. I know your pain, I have felt your deep, unspeakable hurt.
I hear your weeping; I am your comfort…my arms are waiting.
Your child is safe with me, protected and at peace.
Hold to the hope that I have given you my daughter.
Single-Mom, I see your exhaustion, hard work, and faithfulness.
I have equipped you to be what they need.
But rest in me. Let me comfort your tired heart.
You are not in this alone. I am with you always.
Waiting Mother, I see your tears as you approach this day with empty arms.
Arms that long, wait and wonder when it will be your chance to be called “mom.”
I hear your cries when you ask me why, night after night.
Trust me. I am in the waiting with you.
Grieving Daughter, I see you holding your mother’s hand at the end of her life.
Saying all the words you have longed to say, whispering I love you’s.
I am close to the grieving and broken. I will wipe every tear.
Let go; it is time for me to take her hand.
I promise to walk with her every step.
Here is my Grace, daughter, grace poured out on your weary,
on your grieving, and your empty arms. My grace is here to fill you,
to comfort you, and establish your feet with confidence in me.
Daughter, you are seen, not forgotten…
On this Mother’s Day remember, I walk with you, I see you,
I love you, and I treasure you.
Your Heavenly Father
